Adwords and other PPC Opportunities

Today, there are a host of advertising opportunities available on nearly every social medium and search engine. Most of them are reasonably priced and they can generate good results. During our professional career, we've tried just about everything - from billboard ads on popular websites, to videos, to signing up with Yext, which posts your ad on 20-30 search engines and general listings websites.

When LWEBG places an ad on a customers' behalf, we go the extra mile to make sure that it (a) runs as promised, and (b) performs well. We have recorded solid returns in a variety of ways. Viewers still prefer the organic listings and organic traffic gets more activity. It just takes time to get you there.

But that's changing since Google started increasing the number of paid slots on a returned page and decreasing the organic listings. But we purchase ads through Adwords whenever a client needs a boost in traffic and it has worked pretty well whenever we've done it.

One of the best services around, though, is one that a lot of website owners overlook. Adsense. If your website generates a lot of traffic, AdSense can be an excellent option.

AdSense is designed for website managers who want to display targeted text, video or image advertisements on website pages and earn money when site visitors view or click the ads.

Google manages and controls all the ads and Web managers simply need to create a free AdSense account and copy and paste provided code to display the ads. Revenue using AdSense is generated on a per-click or per-impression basis. It is free to become a verified website publisher in the Google AdSense program.

Google currently offers a number of different AdSense programs, depending on the type of content you want placed (e.g. webpage or RSS feed). Some of the more common programs include:

  • AdSense for content: display ads on a website
  • AdSense for search: display ads in search results on a website
  • AdSense for mobile: display ads on a mobile siteAdSense for feeds: display ads in RSS feeds
  • AdSense for domains: display ads on unused domains

AdSense programs are also available to qualified publishers and developers. Qualified publishers may use AdSense to drive revenues for iPhone applications, video or Web browser games. Google currently offers the following AdSense programs for qualified publishers:

  • AdSense for mobile applications: monetize Android and iPhone applications
  • AdSense for TV: monetize TV inventory
  • AdSense for video: monetize online video content
  • AdSense for mobile applications: monetize Android and iPhone applications
  • AdSense for TV: monetize TV inventory
  • AdSense for video: monetize online video content
  • AdSense for games: monetize browser-based games

Like it or not, paid advertising and paid listings are a part of life on the Web. Since LWEBG focuses on organic SEO and organic SEO can take a long time to generate substantial results, we have found that paid listings are an excellent option. Guaranteed clicks while you wait for organic to take effect makes sense.
